The story
The Eternals are a team of ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. When an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows, they are forced to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, the Deviants.
Key characters
Trivia & background
- Chloé Zhao's first film after her Nomadland Oscar — and the first MCU film with a love scene.
- Harry Styles as Eros and Blade's voice in the credits: two threads that were never spun further.
🥚 Easter eggs & references
- Dane Whitman's family secret: the sword in the box is the Black Knight's Ebony Blade.
- The Eternals' cave paintings hide earlier Celestial visits — and Tiamut's outline is now adamantium geography.
📍 Filming locations
- Chloé Zhao insisted on real landscapes: the Canary Islands and England — as little green screen as possible.
