The Loose Ends
Everything Marvel teased and never resolved. ● hot · ● simmering · ● cold.
Wong, Carol and Bruce established: the rings are older than anything known and are broadcasting a beacon — to whom? Simu Liu is in the Doomsday cast; five years of waiting might pay off in December.
When Eddie got pulled back to his universe, a drop of Venom stayed behind in Earth-616. The plan was presumably an MCU Venom for Holland's Peter — then Sony's universe was discontinued. The drop is still sitting there.
Charlize Theron recruited Strange to repair an incursion 'that you caused' — then four years of silence. Since incursions are THE Doomsday mechanism, there is really no way around this payoff.
The Celestial dragged Sersi, Phastos and Kingo into space: he would judge humanity. A planet-sized sword of Damocles has hung over Earth ever since, and no film has mentioned it again.
Harry Styles as Starfox, with troll sidekick Pip — a casting coup that never resurfaced. Rumor says he fell victim to the saga reshuffles. The multiverse forgets nothing; Marvel sometimes does.
'Sure you're ready for that, Mr. Whitman?' — Mahershala Ali's voice, a cursed sword, and since then: five screenwriters, two directors, zero release. Marvel's most famous non-project.
Thousands of Kang variants convened an assembly — then their actor was dismissed and the plan buried. In the comics it is Doom who ends Kang's chaos. The elegant solution is on the table.
T'Challa's secret son grows up in Haiti, far from the throne. A time bomb: someday Wakanda will need a king — and the MCU a new T'Challa.
Zeus sent his son (Brett Goldstein!) on a revenge mission against Thor. Four years later: not a word. Hemsworth is in the Doomsday cast — maybe the bill travels with him.
'My deathbringer will come' — a god wakes in the dark, and the studio shuts down the series. The biggest teased villain who never got a film. Unless the MCU adopts him.
After the forgetting spell nobody knows Peter Parker — but who owns the glasses with access to Stark's weapons network now? Brand New Day would be the place for the answer.
The Leader sees every probability — and warned Sam from his cell about 'the others': other worlds. The most direct Doomsday premonition in MCU canon.
Miles trapped in the wrong dimension, his counterpart is the Prowler, Gwen's crew on the way — the genre's meanest cliffhanger has been waiting for part three for years. Sony promises: soon. Sony promises a lot.
Billy lives as Wiccan — but his twin Tommy (Speed) is still out there, 'in another body'. The twins' search is the most obvious next step toward the Young Avengers.
The pardoned agent with government clearance sells secrets to the highest bidder — staged as a post-credit bombshell and never touched again.
