The story
After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap, seven disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts.

Trivia & background
- The asterisk in the title was only resolved after release: 'The New Avengers'.
- Sentry's Void sequences were co-developed by Beau DeMayo and are considered the boldest depiction of depression in the MCU.
🥚 Easter eggs & references
- The title's asterisk becomes an in-film gag — and the end card corrects the logo live to 'New Avengers'.
- Bob's Void rooms reconstruct scenes from his life — every door a trauma, faithful to the Sentry concept.
📍 Filming locations
- The tower showdown used New York's real skyline perspectives; the rest: Atlanta, as always.

Doomsday's active hero team forms — and with Sentry the MCU has, for the first time, a hero-side being on Doom's level. Unstable, though.
