Trivia & background
- At $2.799 billion, for a time the most successful film of all time.
- 'I am Iron Man' as the last line was a late reshoot idea — in the script, Tony initially died without a word.
🥚 Easter eggs & references
- Steve as 'America's ass' — confirmed by himself in the time-heist fight against 2012 Cap.
- The teenager at Tony's funeral is Harley from Iron Man 3 — six years older.
- 'Hail Hydra': Steve weaponizes the 2016 comics twist as an elevator trick — fan service as a punchline.
- Howard the Duck stands on the battlefield in the portals finale. Really.
📍 Filming locations
- The 2012 New York time heist used sets and archive footage — the compound finale was created entirely in Atlanta.
- Tony's lakeside cabin: Bouckaert Farm in Georgia — a popular fan day trip today.

Post-credit scenes
No scene — the only major MCU film without one. Instead: the hammering of Tony's first armor as an audio farewell.
🥸 Stan Lee cameo
1970, in the car with a hippie beard: 'Make love, not war!' — his final MCU appearance.
Why it matters for Doomsday · Essential
The time-travel mechanic opens the multiverse door — and Tony's farewell is the context that makes RDJ's return as Doom truly hurt.
